a. Exo 18:9-12
Jethro was delighted to hear about all the good things
the Lord had done. He said, “Praise be to the Lord” and acknowledged that the Lord is greater
than all other gods.” Then Jethro brought a burnt offering
and other sacrifices to God, and treated the Israelites a meal in the presence of God.

I acknowledge what God has done great to me to the people around; especially for the joy, peace and hope from Jesus.

Moses served as judge for the
people from morning till evening. Jethro worried the work was too heavy for
Moses that he would be wore out.

Jerthro gave good advice and said, may God
be with you.

Jethro told Moses to select capable men as judges—men who fear God, trustworthy, hate dishonest
gain.

The Israelites
chose the leaders themselves and Moses appointed them to have authority.
