THIRD DAY: Read Exodus
17:1-7.
Q6.
a.
There was no water for the
people to drink.
b.
Because
the Israelites doubted the Lord saying, “Is the Lord among us or not?”
To test whether
God is able to provide. (He Almighty?)
To test
whether God really hears and cares about the Israelites. (He cares us?)
To test how long would God
continue tolerant their rebellion and grumbling.
c.
God let Moses stroked the rock, and water came out of it for the
people to drink.
d.
Jesus is the living water whoever drinks the water will never thirst. The water Jesus gives is the
eternal life. Whoever believes in Jesus, rivers of living water will flow from
within them. The water is from Jesus, that
rock is Christ.
Q7.
a.
3 times grumblings & 0 time repenting.
1. Exodus 15:23-24; because
the water they found was bitter
the people grumbled against Moses.
2. Exodus
16:2; because
starving the whole
community grumbled against Moses and Aaron.
3. Exodus 17:2-7; because the people were thirsty they
quarreled with Moses.
b.
I’m indulging myself in deleting
the works that I should finish earlier and put myself in more anxious
situation.
