Lesson 24, Q10~Q12


Q10. Read Genesis 6-7.
a. List some things people will be doing that will be like Noah’s day.
People were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage.
Genesis 6:5
The LORD saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination傾向 of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.
Genesis 6:11
Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence.
b. Compare the attitudes people today have about the return of Jesus with the attitudes of people in Noah’s time.
Because people do not know on what day the Lord will come, so wicked servant do not expect Jesus will come in their generation and begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards.
Only the faithful and wise servant is prepared to receive Jesus at the proper time. 


Q11. a. In Jesus’ illustration of a master and his servants, describe the character, actions and reward of the first servant.
The first servant is faithful and wise, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time.
The master will reward him by trusting in him even more.
b. What shows that the wicked servant did not believe his Master would soon return?
The wicked servant begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards.
c. As you think about verses 47, 50 and 51, what is Jesus’ message in this story?
Jesus trusts us whom obey Him to be in charge of all His possessions. We should cut off the wicked thought and be ready all the time to welcome Jesus to come back.
d. Read Matthew 13:52; John 6:52-58; 21:15-17. How specifically can you as a BSF member carry out the command of the Master in Matthew 24:45?
The religious leader should take care of all the followers.
The believer should keep the covenant will have the eternal life.
Don’t cause anyone to fall.
Study God’s word so we can strengthen each other with God’s word.
Help each other out in physically when they need food and in spiritually pray for them.


Q12. Read through Matthew 24 again, looking for repeated words or phrases.

a. What would you say is Jesus’ main command to His people?
Matthew 24:13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved
Matthew 24:44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
b. What are His warnings?
Matthew 24:11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.
Matthew 24:24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
c. What is the great promise?
The second coming of the Son of Man.
Matthew 24:27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
Matthew 24:30 “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.
Matthew 24:37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
Matthew 24:39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
