The staff of God that Moses
held up during the battle symbolized the throne of the Lord.

For me Moses held
up the staff was more important then Joshua’s fought the battle, because the held
up staff on the top of hill provided a spiritual help for Joshua to win the
battle.

Renew my courage by seeking spiritual
help from Jesus when I feel frustrated.

a.
God
will completely blot out the name of Amalek from under heaven. Moses built an
altar and called it The Lord is my Banner. Because hands were lifted up against
the throne of the Lord, the Lord will be at war against the Amalekites from generation
to generation.
b.
God wanted Moses to keep this record to make sure all generations to come can hear it including God’s people with encouragement and their enemies with discouragement.
